About the Attorney
Jennifer Scarborough is an immigration attorney based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After seven years of working on the U.S.-Mexico border, she made the decision to relocate to the Midwest. Working on the border, she learned to respond to rapidly changing immigration policies, and she understands that the barriers to immigration don’t stop at the physical border. She helps clients overcome the barriers in their own cases and understand their options under the restrictive Trump policies.
She assists clients with asylum, detained, removal, humanitarian, and family-based immigration cases. She brings a problem-solving approach and desire for justice to her legal work. During a consultation, she will assess your immigration case and discuss potential solutions with you.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Jennifer worked as a paralegal and DOJ Accredited Representative with non-profit immigration legal service providers in Chicago, Massachusetts, and Texas. She understands hard work and even worked full-time during law school while taking evening classes. In 2017, Jennifer graduated from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago. Upon graduation, she decided she wanted to work in a more challenging environment, and she moved to Deep South Texas where she began assisting individuals detained by ICE on our militarized border. In 2020, she opened her own law practice. And in spring 2025, she returned to the Midwest.
While currently based in Minneapolis, Jennifer represents clients throughout the United States before USCIS and the Immigration Courts. Jennifer is a member of the Texas State Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
